The EntreCard Meme
by adminThis morning, after brekky, I did my usual round of card dropping, at Sams blog I noticed his post Sam Freedom’s - Drop Squad - The First Entrecard Meme Known to Bloggers. Had a bit of a laugh and wondered how fast this thing would spread. Well six hours later and I am now tagged with The Entrecard Meme by Flaminglacer!
Entrecard Meme Instructions
With the full realization that these Entrecard meme instructions are being read by some of the most brain-fogged, weary net travelers known to mankind, I am going to keep this VERY, VERY simple. Btw, I say "brain-fogged" for the fact that ever since Entrecard "dropped" onto the scene, it’s a fair bet that each of us is seeing, at least, 2-3 times more blogs per day than usual. I would even venture 5-10 times more.
So Here They Are, The Simple Entrecard Meme Instructions
- Read these instructions twice;
- Drop your EntreCard at this site;
- Drop your EntreCard at the 5 EntreCard users’ sites listed below;
- Choose 5 other EntreCard users;
- Copy these instructions to your own Entrecard meme article and tag (link) those 5 people;
- Include a link to the Entrecard meme article of the person who tagged you;
- Link to the original article “Sam Freedom’s Drop Squad - the First Entrecard Meme Known to Bloggers”;
- Notify the people you choose that they’ve been tagged;
- Comment below so even passers-by can drop their card at your site, too (it shows you are active and will likely return the favor)
- (optional) IF you tag your blogs, use both entrecard and entrecard meme as tags so that others can find them AND so that we can find them all later as this grows. (If you don’t know what tagging is, don’t worry.)
The Following Entrecard Users Are Officially Tagged by Colin King!
The Internet Dreamer: How could I not include Toni? This is the girl woman that took on John Chow and beat him, causing a rumble in the IM male dominated industry and a flurry of posts at various sites.
Everything Everywhere: In the last year Gary has travelled over twenty-six countries and territories. He doesn’t just snap and go, like some crazed tourist. He takes the time to know what’s going on in the culture. The resulting site is magnificent and has been entered in the BlogAwards, I dare you to vote for him there.
Neil Duckett dot com: I have had a passion for Japan for as long as I can remember and Neil is one guy I am extremely envious of, this Assie lives there. Through the blog he shares his insights into the heart of Japanese culture, everything from food to fashion.
Kate blogs about: I have mentioned Kate’s blog before, but I just can’t help talking about it again. This is the only writing blog that I try and read every day, it is that good. There’s a warmth in her writing that is so intoxicating, just go and read a few posts and you will see what I mean.
PC Guide Posts: This site is handy if you have a PC. It covers both the day to day upkeep and how to expanded it as well as other related topics - all in a non-geeky way.

Ha,very good! I was wondering when the first entrecard meme would turn up. Sounds like fun

@colin, yes, well remind them where you can… if you want.
just found out about Entrecard today…total newbie to blog scene. We started a blog a few months ago b/c we realized we were getting crazy amounts of traffic on our li’l ol’ website due to a typo. Our name (since 1995) is Gamil, but people transpose the letters when they try to type Gmail, so we get about 350,000 visitors a month. So now I’m beginning the realization of dropping cards like mad to try to change our traffic from a buncha typos to a buncha intentional readers. But I keep getting waylaid in my card-dropping by actually stopping to read the interesting blogs like yours (which I guess is what we’re really supposed to do with this thing). Anyway, thanks for the distraction. I’ll be back.
@Beth: Welcome to blogging and EntreCard
Thx for stopping by, don’t forget to stop by the EntreCard forums you will find a lively and helpful group of people there.
