Starting up a new blog is a lot of work! You have to decide which CMS to use and what theme to use for it. Then you have to research and write the content for it. It all has to be uploaded to your domain’s host. Finally you need to get people to your site and encourage them to become regular visitors.

It is usually this last point that people find difficult. You should write everything with SEO in mind, but that will take some time to attract visitors. To speed things up most people resort to advertising on other sites to get traffic but this can be expensive, especially if you advertise over an extended period of time. How much money are you willing to invest before you meet with success or even failure?

There is a no cost solution to this, EntreCard! In effect you have a business card that you drop on other sites to build up credits. They will also drop their card on your site and earn you more credits. With these credits you can then purchase an advertising spot on another site, for example Problogger.

Note that there are over 5000 blogs that use EntreCard and that number is growing daily. There is a huge variety of subjects covered by these blogs, everything from Formula cars to Writing to Cooking, you name it you can probably find it!

I can only speak from personal experience. I started this blog at the end of last October and joined EntreCard in early November. So I started with maybe 2-3 visitors a day. I now get 400-450 visitors a day on average, I have over 100 Rss subscribers and I have met a lot of friends and read a lot of blogs that I might never had if not for EntreCard.
